Robert Hampton is a strategic and results-driven Chief Information Officer (CIO) with over two decades of executive leadership across retail convenience, grocery, and global infrastructure sectors. Most recently serving as CIO and Vice President of Technology Solutions & Innovation at Jacksons Companies—a $5B+ vertically integrated enterprise with nearly 350 retail locations—Robert led enterprise-wide digital transformation, supply chain modernization, and IT innovation. His leadership enabled seamless coordination across grocery and fuel distribution, joint ventures with Shell and Chevron, and the successful scaling of major retail operations. A recognized industry innovator, he recently chaired the Board of Advisors at Conexxus and has been a featured panelist and moderator at premier events such as NRF and NACS.
As a global CIO, Robert has built and led high-performing teams in fast-paced, compliance-heavy environments. At AECOM, a Fortune 500 infrastructure and engineering firm, he managed a $22.5M IT budget and oversaw international operations across more than 100 countries. His accomplishments include driving seven-figure cost savings, leading the IT integration for a $1.2B acquisition, and delivering critical infrastructure and compliance solutions (NIST, DFARS, SOX). Robert excels in aligning enterprise IT with business goals, designing scalable systems, and leading innovation initiatives that support sustainable growth.
Beyond the boardroom, Robert is deeply committed to mentoring future leaders and shaping industry standards. He serves on advisory boards at Texas Tech and Boise State University, contributes to national retail technology councils, and actively advises early-stage startups in the retail technology space.
