Keynote Speaker
Gerd Leonhard, Founder and CEO of The Future’s Agency
The world by 2030: 10 Game-Changers and 4 Revolutions - and what it all means for your business.
We are living in a world where science fiction is increasingly becoming science fact: machines that can see, hear, ‘think’ and learn (aka AI), cars that drive themselves, synthetic biology that creates entirely new products (3D printing, cultured meat..), medical/technology breakthroughs that promise to solve long-standing healthcare challenges such as obesity and diabetes, renewable (solar) energy that is cheaper than coal in most southern countries, and much more. On top of that, 4 revolutions are now taking place simultaneously: the geopolitical revolution (towards a multi-polar world, with power moving south and east, and with GenY taking over), the digital revolution (towards an abundance of digital intelligence and a new Internet), the green revolution (circular everything), and the purpose / human revolution (a new economic logic beyond mere profit and growth).
We are going to see more change in the next 5 years than the previous 50 years – but what does it all mean for this industry? In his talk, Gerd will outline how we can better understand where things are going, how we can get ready, and how we can design ‘The Good Future’ around these developments, and prosper. The purpose of looking at the future is not prediction – it is to be better prepared, and to develop your future mindset so you can make better decisions today.
Expect some future shocks, some key realizations and penny drop moments, and a solid list of possible actions for leaders in the convenience food sectors.
“People, Planet, Purpose and Prosperity.” – That is Gerd Leonhard’s motto. Over the past two decades, he has risen to one of the top 10
futurist keynote speakers worldwide, With nearly 2,000 engagements in 60+ countries since 2004, and a combined audience of over 2.5 million people, Gerd has been listed by Wired magazine as one of the Top 100 Most-Influential People in Europe, and as ‘one of the leading media futurists in the World’ by The Wall Street Journal. Gerd focuses on the intersections of humanity, science / technology, business, and culture.
