The Convenience Technology Vision Group (CTVG) released its 9th Vision Report, “Cybersecurity: Evolving Trends and Pitfalls.” The report contains an executive summary of the winter virtual meeting which focused on cybersecurity and featured a collaborative discussion with cybersecurity experts and members. Also included is a summary of CTVG members AI usage updates.

CTVG’s December 6, 2024 quarterly virtual meeting was facilitated by industry technology veteran, Ed Collupy, principal at Collupy System Solutions LLC, and included guest speakers presenting cybersecurity tactics accompanied with ample real-world examples. After the presentation, CTVG members asked questions and provided their own experiences and approaches.

Guest speakers Daniel Martin, field chief information security officer (CISO) at Verinext, and Todd McClelland, a partner at the law firm Sterlington, presented trends and pitfalls, outlining four trends in cybersecurity trends including human risk management, AI governance, automation and mergers and acquisitions. Four cybersecurity pitfalls such as supply chain management, AI deep fakes, data governance, and cyber insurance were also examined. The full presentation and transcript are included in the report.
